Where
Welcome to Chicago! We will be celebrating in and around Navy Pier and the loop.
Travel & Transportation
O'Hare (ORD)
~45-90 mins to downtown
The larger international airport with the most flight options. You can take a rideshare, taxi, car rental, or the CTA Blue Line train, which runs 24/7 directly into the city (get off at Clark & Lake and rideshare from there!).
Midway (MDW)
~30-50 mins to downtown
Located closer to downtown and often easier to navigate. A hub for Southwest Airlines. Connects to the city via the CTA Orange Line. Closest stop to the action: Washington & Wabash. Rideshare, taxi, or car rental are also great options!
Once here, you can get around via Uber, Lyft, taxi, or the CTA train and bus system. Chicago is a very walkable city, especially in the downtown area where our events will be located.
Navigating to Navy Pier
Important Rideshare Tip
Navy Pier is over half a mile long! When ordering an Uber or Lyft, please set your destination specifically to "OffShore Rooftop" or "Sable Hotel" to avoid a long walk in heels. The entrances to both are in a covered roundabout called the "Festival Hall Entrance".
Valet Parking
Valet parking is available at the Sable Hotel or Offshore Rooftop. The valet entrance is located at the roundabout in front of the Sable Hotel / Offshore Rooftop.
Self-parking in the parking garage
Self-parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the East garage (or West Garage if closed), owned and managed by ABM Parking. Pricing varies but is aroud $70/day.
Parking Alternatives
More affordable parking near Navy Pier
If you're open to walking a few minutes, there are more affordable parking spots just off Navy Pier available from third-party apps including Spothero or ParkWhiz for around $20/day.
Finding the Welcome Party
DuSable Harbor
The Anita Dee II is docked at DuSable Harbor, which is just south of Navy Pier. You can walk, rideshare, or taxi to "Anita Dee Yacht Charters". Look for the three-story yacht on the north side of the harbor, near Navy Pier.
Parking at DuSable Harbor
“Parking Harbour”, "DuSable Harbor","Chicago Harbours", or "Parking Harbour Chicago"
Parking is a $25 flat rate. Take a left at the end of Randolph just before the cul-de-sac.
You can find more information on parking at DuSable Harbor here.
Walking To and From the Sable
For those staying at the hotel. Please note that there will be a bus back to the Sable after the event.
There is a well-lit foot and bike path along the bridge connecting DuSable Harbor to Navy Pier. It is about a 20-minute / 1-mile walk - longer than it may look, especially in high heels! Most of this distance is down Navy Pier, so it's a fun walk.
Buses To the Sable After the Event
We will be providing transportation after the event for those staying at the Sable.
There will be a bus leaving from the Anita Dee II after the event to take guests back to the Sable Hotel. The bus will make 2 trips between 9:30pm and 10:30pm!
Transportation to/from the Church
Bus information
Transportation will be provided from the Sable Hotel to Old St. Pat's for the ceremony. Buses will depart from the Sable Hotel at 2:20pm.
Transportation will also be provided from the church to the reception at Offshore. Buses will depart from the Church at 4:30pm.Reception Coat Check
Offshore will have a staffed coat check available for guests located near the main entrance elevators.
The Sable
900 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
The Sable is an adjacent sister venue to Offshore, where the reception will be hosted. Each room offers nautical decor and floor-to-ceiling lake views- you'll feel like you're on a cruise ship! The hotel is an experience in itself so we recommend staying here if possible, although please note that there is a 2-night minimum.
Grand Sheraton River Walk
301 E North Water St, Chicago, IL 60611
The Grand Sheraton River Walk is an upscale hotel on the Chicago River just a few short blocks from the festivities. We will open a room block if the Sable room block fills.
Other hotels
Chicago has no shortage of great hotels! Some additional options to consider:
Chicago Summer!
Summer is the best time of the year in Chicago, and we are taking full advantage with a partially open-air reception! August weather is typically warm and sunny with average highs in the mid-80s (°F) and lows in the mid-60s. Humidity can be high, so breathable fabrics are recommended.
The "Lake Effect"
Our venue is on the water. Offshore has glass panels to reduce the lake breeze but once the sun sets, the breeze can drop temperatures by 10-15 degrees. We recommend bringing a light wrap for the evening.
Cover
All venues have ample indoor space in the event of rain, wind, or cold!
Registry
Your presence is the greatest gift of all. However, for friends and family who have been asking for gift ideas, we have created a few online registries.
Wedding Party
Family has been at the heart of our story — the source of our values, our laughter, and our strength. When we envisioned our wedding day, it felt only natural to be surrounded by those who have stood beside us through every chapter. We have chosen to have our Sisters of Honour, Kelly and Laura, stand with us, along with their husbands, Brian and Pat. Their love, support, and shared sense of family embody what this day means to us. Rather than a traditional wedding party, we wanted our celebration to reflect the foundation of our lives together — a deep appreciation for family, and for the enduring love that binds us all.

Our Story
Cristin worked at a venture capital firm that had - before she worked there - invested in Danny's startup. Cristin heard there was an incredibly good-looking portfolio founder and reached out.
Cristin knew Danny's sister and featured Sister of Honour, Laura, from college at Notre Dame. After finding out they both worked in the Chicago startup scene, Laura connected them (professionally, not romantically, in theory).
Bumble.
Danny was the son of the king. Cristin was his betrothed and childhood companion. When a stampede of wildebeests trampled his dad and nearly Danny too, he fled to the jungle to live with two new animal friends and eat bugs. Everything changed when Cristin, on a hunt, found him years later. Will he overthrow his evil uncle and take his rightful place as the King of Pride Rock alongside his Queen, Cristin? Tune in to the homily at 3 to find out.
